|
|
| Many of my prayers for myself have been answered, including some which were answered in a very unlikely manner. However, there is another power of prayer I think we don't discuss as much, and I want to mention it here. Praying for others has vastly improved my life. It has helped me release anger against those who sought to harm me and has removed their negative emotional power over me by teaching me to love them. It has given me comfort and perspective to recognize many people have similar problems to my own and their problems are as important as mine. It has helped me to stop being so focused on myself to focus daily on others and their needs. One of the things I found very helpful when first coming to this site is the request that a person pray for 3 other requests before posting his or her own. To me that was healing in and of itself. |

| Leap of Faith, I agree with you. I don't always have time to get here and pray for everyone, but I try. It does make me feel better and I always pray for everyone (a general pray for friends) when I can't get here. God bless you and everyone on this site. I love this site. Thanks to whomever started. It does make you feel better praying for others. |

Hello,
I too, have begun praying for others. It is my hope that these prayers will help those who have requested intercession.
And were it not for the suggestion that we pray for at least three other people, I don't know if I would have taken the time to do so. |

I agree...praying for others helps alot..I believe God looks down on us and if we pray for others and help them then we aren't just thinking of ourselves...God will take care of us and heal us also...but we must also help others in their requests....people praying for other people is a great act of kindness...and it can move mountains...
Praise the Lord

My priest said that it is easy to pray for those whom we love, but the real challenge is in praying for our detractors and anyone who we feel has wronged us.
It is not easy, but I have been praying for my detractors. I prayed God to give me the ability to do so and I've been doing it, thanks to the Heavenly Team. |

I can't deny and I can't help but to agree that prayers really change life. It gives new light to a dark room, it provides a new way when one is lost. It makes the Lord works in ways you cannot see and most of the time, those prayers are answered if the things you pray for are the best thing God can give to you.
I once heard a priest says, prayer is not to please God or to make Him loves us more. God loves us all the time whether we pray or not but when we pray, we just have the chance to get closer to Him, to know more of his plan for us, to understand more of our life in this world. Not only prayers can help others in need but the most beneficial thing is that it has help to give us a better life, without us realising it.
God is always there for us... God wanted so much that we talked to HIM.
Amen.
