Deep within my cavernous and hollow heart hangs a huge and ponderous gong.
Its single sad and lonely note, so low, it scarcely makes a sound,
and yet it echoes, crescendos through every fiber of my soul and shakes the ground.
Angels come and seek to soothe the strings that surely are my heart
But, lonely anger uncontrolled
strikes the gong a blow again
Its note vibrates; reverberates;
with vast volume, how it resonates!
Crying out "Here Is Sorrow! Here Is Pain!"

Almighty God grant peace to we
who yet must suffer here.
Still this aching lonely note
vibrating pain and fear.
Even as you hold the soul of she;
whom we did hold so dear
So hold our hearts and cradle them
within your mighty arms
Still the notes of sorrow,
Still that mighty gong's alarms.
Open up this hollow cavern
and restore your peace and love.
Grant us joy that she is with you
in your wondrous home above.
Please Lord this lonely silence break
and speak again to me!
Speak now unto my tortured soul
as you spoke that storm tossed sea!

PEACE BE STILL!

Dear God, you are intimately acquainted with this man's pain. I don't know the whole sitauation, but please be with him, comfort him, and surround him with good people who can love and encourage him through this darkness that he appears to be going through. He is begging for your help, Lord, and we know that you hear us. Please be with him, Lord, in an unmistakable way.

amen
